Swedish Consulate – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, commonly known as BRI, has launched a special program offering a 0% Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) to its merchants, both new and existing, who are registered with BRI Merchant. This program is valid from August 1 until October 31, 2024.
BRI’s Director of Retail Funding and Distribution, Andrijanto, stated that the special 0% MDR program applies to merchants using both dynamic and static QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) who have a BRI Merchant account. This offer is available to micro enterprises (UMI). small enterprises (UKE), medium enterprises (UME), large enterprises (UBE), gas stations (SPBU), public service agencies (BLU). And those engaged in public service obligations (PSO).

It is worth noting that, according to the regulations set by Bank Indonesia (BI). QRIS transactions are subject to a fee of 0.3% for business operators. This fee is impose to maintain the quality of the QRIS system. However, the good news is that business owners using the BRI QRIS merchant application can take advantage of this special promotion, which offers a 0% MDR.
MDR is a fee charge to merchants for each transaction made using debit cards, credit cards, or QRIS. With the 0% MDR promotion. BRI eliminates this fee, allowing merchants to receive the full amount of each transaction directly into their accounts.
The 0% MDR promotion applies to transaction amounts ranging from IDR 1 to IDR 10,000,000 per transaction. As a result, during settlement, merchants will receive the full transaction amount without any MDR deductions.
